Integer: Madam Rozitah

.::ya Allah, bantulah hamba-Mu yang lemah ini.sesungguhnya aku tidak berdaya tanpa-Mu::.

Salam.

When I'm doing my Math just now, suddenly I remember how the first time I truly understand integers. Back then in Kolej DPAH Abdillah when I was in form 2 Putih, there was a pretty teacher named Madam Rozitah. She was very cheerful, optimistic and very bright. All of us love her. She put lots lots of efforts to make us understand every single thing she taught. We could see her passion in teaching us. Her sincerity and endless love made us felt special.

One day, I came to her and said,

Tini: Teacher, I still don't understand the integer thingy. It is so tough.

Madam Rozitah: Ohh. It's okay. I'll help you to understand it. You see, it is like this, if you owe me RM10 but you only have RM5. You can pay me RM5 first and the balance is RM5. So, the negative sign means hutang. When you owe somebody you must pay. Can you understand now?

Tini: Yes! Thank you madam. *big big smile*

-10+5=-5 Simple mathematical equation for most people but I consider it as a tough one. You may think I'm a dumb for asking that kind of easy question. I don't care. Malu bertanya sesat jalan kan? What I want to highlight here is my teacher's effort in making me understand the integer. I admit it was very very very easy question which sometimes people may say 'Are you a dumb?' when you ask them. I couldn't trace that kind of impression on her face that time which made me felt comfortable enough.

You see here, how a teacher give such an impact to her student. I will cherish this memory forever. So, for those who have ambition to become a teacher please be sincere because human like sincerity don't we? For Madam Rozitah thank you very much. Jazakillah. May Allah bestow you with His love and Jannah. Amin.
